Lloyd A. Malech represents clients in a wide range of areas, including: divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, enforcement, domestic violence and other related family law matters. In practice for over 25 years, he has the experience and proven record to achieve results in both the courtroom and at the negotiating table.

Mr. Malech strongly believes in the importance of supporting his clients through all aspects of the legal process. He understands the challenging family dynamics and is committed to a compassionate and caring experience throughout his representation.

Meet Lloyd

He is a certified member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the International Academy of Collaborating Professionals, the DC Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and the Superior Court Trial Lawyers Association.

Lloyd A. Malech received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University where he graduated cum laude from the Rutgers College General Honors Program. He received his law degree at George Washington University School of Law. Mr. Malech began his practice in 1994. With more than 25 + years of experience to his name, Mr. Malech has highly developed legal skills. He has proven himself time and again — achieving excellent results in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.

Mr. Malech is the recipient of several prestigious honors. He received the Lawyers of Distinction Award Recognizing Excellence in Divorce and Family Law for the years 2018, 2019, and 2020. He is registered as one of the Top Lawyers of Maryland in 2020. He has also been recognized by the Attorney and Practice Magazine being awarded their Top 10 Family Law Attorney distinction for 2021. He is highly rated with a 10/10 by Avvo.

Besides successfully representing client’s involved with divorce and other family law matters, over the last twenty years Mr. Malech has volunteered his time at a fraction of his regular hourly rates to zealously represent hundreds and hundreds of under privileged clients in their pursuits of justice in DC Superior Court. He has been honored by being chosen every four years since 2000 by the judges of the Superior Court to serve on the CJA Panel.
